I was taught to question everything not doubt everything.  Being critical is not being negative. Nor is it being argumentative or cynical. It’s simply continually testing hypotheses, ideas, and actions with the goal of searching for, and perhaps optimizing positive, or minimizing negative, outcomes. While truths are difficult to ascertain, falsehoods are easy to point out.
