In terms of conspiracy theories in general, and the one in particular that says the Covid vaccine doesn’t work, is really old flu vaccines and/or contains micro chips …

I bet if you took high school grades, particularly in science and math, but also in the social sciences of history, politics and economics, and compared them to the percentage of those who believe or disbelieve the conspiracy theory – the parsed numbers would match with those in this article – for example … 

A 100-80% definitely false, 20% of population

B 79-65% probably false, 20% of population

C 64-50% could be true, 20% of population

D 49-40% probably true, 20% of population

F 40%> definitely true. 20% of population

Appropriately manipulated, we can see that any conspiracy theory can sow a shitload of problems as more than half the population can be easily made to believe and a further quarter can be made to doubt the truth. And those who know it to be false can be easily vilified and marginalized. The struggle to be free, and to make others free, that is liberated, from those who would manipulate, obfuscate, if not downright lie about the truth is nearly hopeless, extremely difficult and fraught with social danger.
